The Degradation of Moral Law in Theological Civics

Has the sub-cultural government of the 21st Century Church lost sight of its moral foundations of transcendent and sovereign authority? The Law of God commands Christians to govern in four key civic areas: 1.) Social Government; 2.) Church Government; 3.) Family Government; and 4.) Self Government. Have we simply adopted a theistic ethical code of our own relative adaptation? When those who sustain the conscience for moral law become the civic minority, an entire civilization will experience the degradation in every social corner. This books takes an in-depth looks at these issues facing the church and our families today.

By Pastor Marvin R. Barham. ( 8.5"x11", 80 pgs, Paperback, Comb bound)

Listen to the Land

The lands of ancient past have given us artifacts of antiquity which often provide historical insight and validity to religious literature in the evidential inscriptions and monuments relating to kings, presidents, generals, religious leaders, and monarchs of those times. With the discovery in the last century of documents belonging to Israel‟s neighbors, specifically the Babylonians and Assyrians, conclusions can be made regarding the validity of Old Testament historical literature as more than folklore. Until these discoveries, what were known of these peoples were simply the references to them in Hebraic Scripture. With non-religious archeological evidence we can deduce that The Hebrew Old Testament is indeed the most complete and accurate ancient record of nations in the region, with its language preserved without a break for over 3,000 years. The neighbors of Israel were more than just part of the Biblical background. (By Pastor Marvin Barham, 8.5x11, Paperback, Comb Bound, 12 pgs)

An Historical Perspective of Jesus and Mohammad

The Relevance of Hebrew Idioms in Post Modern English Speaking Cultures

Are the idioms used in the Bible relevant to a post-modern1 culture today? What relevance or impact do they have in our daily lives, communication, or moral ideologies and development as a society? Theoretically, Hebraic idioms must remain relevant to English speaking cultures for generational transference of moral thought and reason. In any culture, idioms are commonly used and are a critical part of communicating thoughts, ideas, or concepts. (By Pastor Marvin Barham, 8.5x11, Paperback, Comb bound, 24 pgs)

The Relevance of Jewish Roots in a 21st Century Christian Church

Followers of Jesus Christ were not called “Christians” until approximately A.D. 31 in the city of Antioch (Hobar 2004). Prior to this, followers of the Hebrew faith were either Jews or non-Jewish believers. Following the ascension of Christ the argument ensued concerning the state of non-Jewish believers whom Christ‟s taught would be engrafted into the Abrahamic covenant through His death and resurrection. Today, the definition and identity of the faith Christ lived and taught has radically changed. There are movements to bring Jews into Christianity as well as a resurgence of Judaism among Christians. Christianity has indeed lost sight of its Jewish roots leading to much misinterpretation and humanistic doctrines, under the guise of following Christ, as did the church in the days of the Apostle Paul. As well, there are those who professed to be Christians yet have converted to Judaism, denouncing Christ as the Messiah. (By Pastor Marvin Barham, 8.5x11, Paperback, Comb bound, 12pgs)

Passover Fulfilled

“In Passover Fulfilled Marvin has taken his research back to some of the original concerns of ancient Judaism as well as the time of Jesus. His use of the Didache, Haggadah, the Mishnah, and the blending of the Law and mercy was unusual and refreshing. - Ron Moseley, Ph.D., D. Phil., D. Litt.

In the New Testament, Jesus pronounces that He is the Law of God; the Word of God;the authority of God; the fulfillment of the Law; the fulfillment of Messianic prophecy; the fulfillment of God’s dispensation for redemption and reconciliation; and the fulfillment of the types and shadows in practice of covenants past. If Jesus indeed was the fulfillment of the Law, prophecy, and covenant, was He the fulfillment of the Law of the Feasts or did Christianity simply find a theological means to disregard the Law of the Feasts?
